Introducing Licensio: open-source license management for serious vendors

Jun 9, 2026 · Product

After months of development, we're launching Licensio — a self-hosted license management server with Ed25519 signed tokens, Revolut Pay billing, and first-party SDKs.

Today we are launching Licensio — a self-hosted license management server built for software vendors who need control, security, and flexibility in their licensing infrastructure.

Why we built it

Existing licensing solutions fall into two camps: cloud services that charge per-validation and take a cut of your revenue, or custom-built systems that take months to develop. Neither works well for serious vendors who want predictable costs and full data control.

What Licensio offers

Licensio provides Ed25519 signed license tokens that are verifiable offline — no server call needed. The tokens carry cryptographic proof of authenticity, so your application can validate licenses even in air-gapped environments.

Billing is handled through Revolut Pay, with automated recurring payments, grace periods, and immediate license suspension on failed payments. The billing layer is abstracted — swap providers without changing license logic.

First-party SDKs for Python and JavaScript handle token signing, online validation, offline decoding, and device fingerprinting out of the box. Integration takes minutes, not days.

Getting started

Licensio is available now. Deploy on your own VPS using Docker — the setup script handles everything from Ubuntu bootstrap to Nginx configuration. Start with a 14-day free trial, then choose a plan that fits your scale.
